Reception at Buckingham Palace – The Commonwealth Diaspora of The United Kingdom
Our President Anu Balamurali and Vice-President Helena Lim-Poole were very honoured to be invited by the Singapore High Commission to a Reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate The Commonwealth Diaspora of The United Kingdom on Thursday, 9th June 2022. It was hosted by The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duchess of Gloucester.
The event started at 3.30pm with drinks and canapes, accompanied by beautiful music played by a Quintet from the Chineke! Orchestra.
We met other equally excited Singaporean representatives from other Singapore groups based in the UK and also representatives from other Commonwealth countries.
It was a wonderful and vibrant event and Anu had the great pleasure of shaking Prince Charles’ hand and introducing SUKA to him!
A huge thank you to the Singapore High Commission in London for making sure that SUKA was represented.
