SUKA Hari Raya Celebrations 2022 – A Review

SUKA Hari Raya Celebrations 2022 – A Review

After 2 years of celebrating on Zoom, SUKA pulled out all the stops to organise our Hari Raya event in person. Our appreciation goes to Jasmine Kensington for the mouthwatering Malay buffet which our guests thoroughly enjoyed.

We are grateful to our 58 SUKA members and friends who attended the event including 2 guests who travelled all the way from Germany to join us, Nash Overmeyer and June Scheel and our VIP Celest Chang from the Singapore High Commission. We had the pleasure of 3 past SUKA Presidents gracing the afternoon too.

The event saw an enchanting dance performance by Dewi Ariati and the interactive session got all our guests up on their feet. Besides the dance, Nazheef Basha led us on a fun Malay singalong session and Sharliza Jelita provided some melodious background music.

SUKA style Hari Raya Quiz and our traditional Raffle Draw with 21 prizes to be won kept all our guests engaged and fulfilled.

Members and friends alike were thrilled with all activities of the afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Several non members and non Singaporeans purchased SUKA memberships on the day. One guest commented ‘SUKA events are the best and the most entertaining with so much fun, love, laughter and yummy food!’
