SUKA Q1 2026 Round-Up: A Vibrant Start to the Year
The first quarter of 2026 has been an exciting and meaningful start for the Singapore UK Association (SUKA), bringing our community together through celebration, reflection, and connection. From our Annual General Meeting to festive gatherings for Chinese New Year and Hari Raya, it’s been a wonderful few months.
Annual General Meeting
19 January 2026 | Singapore High Commission, London
We kicked off the year with our Annual General Meeting held at the Singapore High Commission.
The AGM provided an opportunity to reflect on an incredibly active 2025, which saw SUKA deliver numerous events, strengthen partnerships, and grow its membership base. It was also a moment to look ahead, with an exciting calendar planned for 2026 aimed at engaging an even broader cross-section of the Singaporean community in the UK.
The evening was marked by appreciation for the many volunteers and committee members who continue to contribute their time and energy behind the scenes to keep SUKA thriving.
Chinese New Year Dinner
24 February 2026 | Royal China, Baker Street
We ushered in the Year of the Horse with a lively Chinese New Year dinner at Royal China. The evening was filled with festive cheer, great food, and a strong sense of community.
Guests were welcomed with thoughtfully curated door gifts, including treats and drinks that brought a taste of home to London. The celebrations continued with an exciting raffle, where lucky winners walked away with generous goodie bags and prizes.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our sponsors — Yeo’s, Singapulah, Yumm Singa, Singapore Global Network and UOB — whose support made the evening even more memorable. Their contributions helped create a warm, celebratory atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
Hari Raya Lunch
28 March 2026 | Laksamania
We closed the quarter with a vibrant Hari Raya lunch at Laksamania, bringing together members in a joyful celebration of culture and community.
Guests arrived in their finest traditional outfits, filling the venue with colour and festive spirit. The delicious spread of food was a highlight, complemented by generously sponsored drinks from Yeo’s Europe / SOP International.
The afternoon featured a lively and competitive quiz, adding an extra layer of fun to the gathering. Most importantly, it was a chance for everyone to reconnect, celebrate, and enjoy the warmth of the SUKA community.
We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors — Singapore Global Network, Singapore Airlines, Yeo’s Europe / SOP International, Laksamania, and Yumm Singa — as well as special guest EZCook by Nash Overmeyer for joining us from Germany.
Looking Ahead
With such a strong start to the year, we’re excited for what’s to come. From networking events to large-scale celebrations, SUKA remains committed to bringing the Singaporean community in the UK together.
We look forward to welcoming you at our upcoming events — including our next networking drinks in May — and continuing to build a vibrant, connected community throughout 2026.
