What a pleasant way to spend an afternoon – it went by too fast! Today’s SUKA Spring Party lunch went smoothly well – everyone was all smiles and enjoyed themselves. We were lucky to have our new Deputy High Commissioner Mr Chia Wei Wen join us for lunch. We are very grateful for everyone who came; thank you SUKA members + family & friends! Hope you all made new friends today.
We enjoyed a full buffet spread of delicious Singaporean food by Copthorne Tara’s Bugis Street chef. We brought back nostalgic memories with our musical playlist of Malay, Peranakan, Mandarin and Tamil tunes that were popular in Singapore in the 1950s-1960s. We even got to enjoy a captivating belly dancing performance by Aparnaa, SUKA committee member Anu’s talented daughter, after filling our own bellies! Eight lucky people also walked away with eight prizes at our raffle draw.
The day’s menu: Satay Chicken, Barbeque Chicken Wings, Salt & Pepper Sliced Fish, Rojak (Fruits), Hainanese Chicken Rice, Sambal Okra and Long Beans, Vegetarian Char Kuay Teow, Singapore Fried Hokkien Mee, Pulut Hitam, Black Forest Gateau, freeflow Teh Tarik and Coffee.
