Radha writes: SUKA celebrated Diwali with a bang on 1st Nov at an authentic Indian Restaurant named Shezan in Knightsbridge which was very prettily decorated. SUKA was only aiming at getting 80 attendees but there was such an overwhelming response! We had 109 guests and more wanted to come but had to be declined. We were very happy that the Deputy High Commissioner for Singapore to the UK graced the event.
We had lots of entertainment, traditional south Indian dancers, Bollywood dancers and Bollywood dance workshop, raffle draw, best dressed female and male competition and a DJ and dance floor. We had a henna artist all night who did more than 100 designs including a superman design for one of our members! Shezan served us very authentic and yummy Indian food and were very accommodating to all our requests. We are very pleased that all our guests enjoyed themselves and we enjoyed organising this wonderful event too!
