Announcement: Nominations for SUKA Committee for 2016/2017

SUKA has received nominations for the leadership of the SUKA committee for 2016/17. The closing date for nominations has now passed. Members who have renewed for 2016 will be eligible to vote for the new committee at the AGM on 25 January. For members unable to attend, proxy voting forms will be issued one week before the AGM, and voting choices must be received by 23 January (48 hours before AGM).

Brief Statement of Support for Application:

“Sharliza has been on the committee since 2014 and brought it into the 21st century with her tireless enthusiasm and work especially in developing SUKA’s online presence and services,  exposing SUKA to new audiences and wider Singapore community such as through producing the SG50 Community Video, running the programme at SG50 Community Day London, performing at Singapore Day 2014, and SG50 Day in Geneva as well as her contributions as organiser, host and MC at events. She is also supported by myself as current SUKA president, members of the 2014/15 committee (Peggy, Anu, Radha, Adeline and Manjit) who wish to continue building on SUKA’s legacy under her leadership, and by 3 new proposed ex-co members (Delia, Barbara and Natasha). The current committee have worked very hard for SUKA and I have faith that Sharliza’s proposed committee will continue their good work if elected.”
