August 13 was a fantastically memorable day, as SUKA’s Family National Day celebrations coincided with Joseph Schooling’s historic Olympic win. A double win! With our guest of honour Deputy High Commissioner Chia Wei Wen, we shared in the elation as Majulah Singapura was played for the first time in the Olympics and sent the nation into a joyous frenzy. SUKA Members won too at our raffle draw, quiz and best dressed, after a semangat singalong of Home and We Are Singapore. Thanks to the hard work and contribution of our committee, volunteers and kind contributions from OSU, Yeo’s (drinks), Singapore Airlines (1st prize) and High Commission (cake).
