Audrey Chin, author of highly acclaimed works including the recent\u00a0<em>As the Heart Bones Break<\/em>, is a strong female voice, who has a background in the financial sector and remains a board director in addition to her writing. Audrey\u2019s book\u00a0<em>Singapore Women Re-presented<\/em>\u00a0offers an alternative representation of the country\u2019s evolution from mangrove fishing village to first world global city told through the eyes of women, who were initially excluded from official records. Meanwhile, Amanda Lee Koe has become known for her frank writing on sexuality, feminism and queer relativism, which is reflected in her debut collection of short stories,\u00a0<em>Ministry of Moral Panic<\/em>.
