These links cover all aspects of the relationship, in both directions, including trade and investment, education, tourism, and cultural links. The various bodies below welcome the setting up of the UK ASEAN Business Council in 2011 \u00a0and the All Party Parliamentary ASEAN Group created in 2018. The 3 Trade Envoys covering ASEAN and the new Trade Commissioner to be based in Singapore also have an important role to play.In the context of Brexit, it is critical that there is a united voice to get the message over that the UK is Open and Welcoming to Investors, Students, and Tourists from ASEAN.<\/p>\n<p>So far the Societies and groups below have agreed to join together to enhance UK-ASEAN links by holding a Reception for members and guests on 28 November 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Anglo-Thai Society<br \/>\nAnglo -Indonesian Society<br \/>\nBritish Malaysian Society<br \/>\nSarawak Association<br \/>\nMalaysia Link UK<br \/>\nSingapore Business Group<br \/>\nSingapore UK Association<br \/>\nCambodia Society<br \/>\nLaos Britain Business Group<br \/>\nMyanmar Britain Business Association<br \/>\nBurma Society<br \/>\nVietnam UK Network<br \/>\nUK ASEAN Business Council<br \/>\nASEAN UK Business Forum<br \/>\nAseanites<br \/>\nPan Asian Women\u2019s Association<br \/>\nIoD City of London<br \/>\nBRISLA\u00a0 ( British Sri Lankan Association )<\/p>\n<div>In addition to attendees from the above there will also be representatives from parts of the UK Government involved with ASEAN as well as VIPs and representatives ( Ambassadors and others ) from the ASEAN Embassies and High Commissions.
