The Symphony Orchestra and Senior Seniors of the NSW Public Schools are two of the best ensembles administered by The Arts Unit of the New South Wales Department of Education.

The orchestra is currently comprised of 69 musicians and the choir of 42 singers. Students are generally of high school age (with an average age of 16) and represent a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. They will play and sing works of Beethoven, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Whitacre and more.
